I’ve been on a web app coding spree as of late so today I’m going to launch another site called WilliamsburgEats.com. Like Subway Crush, this site is also hyper concentrated to New York…but even further to ONLY Williamsburg Brooklyn.
The site allows you to sort all of the food in the neighborhood by cuisine and then plot it on a google map with yelp reviews, ratings, photos, and some insider tips for each spot. I thought this would be useful because the only thing truly dedicated to eating out in the neighborhood is FreeWilliamsburg.com and that GIANT list of sometimes outdated information just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I also hope to keep the blog updated with Williamsburg specific food news like restaurant openings, reviews, and whatever else I feel like posting.
I’m still having some serious div overflow issues in IE, but everything else seems to be kosher. Drop me a line if you know how to fix that, or have any other problems!
Mike is so cool. What a great idea. Hyper-local, minimalist web apps. I mean, one guy can program something like this in a few hours or days. No need for VC or to create a new company. Just build the bugger and go!
